grew up in Gadsden where he started out his many-varied career as a broiler worker at the Burger King in East Gadsden. He decided to go to college at UAB, achieving a Bachelor of Science before becoming a Chemical Research Technician at Southern Research Institute where he researched everything from pizza to chemical warfare, carpet to cancer. After this, he moved to UAB to investigate bacteria prevalent in periodontal disease for six years. From there, he decided to go to dental school at Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1996. He then moved back to Alabama and began his residency at UAB in Prosthodontics where he served as Chief Resident, and a floor instructor for dental students. Upon graduating the residency program in 1999, he served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for one year before finally returning to Gadsden and entering private practice. He has been serving Gadsden and surrounding areas for over 26 years and has been involved with study clubs and lecturing across the South. He enjoys all things creative including cooking, photography, making of costumes/props, and toy-making, which has led him to foray into wood working, leather working, metal working, and many other trades.
